Microsoft 365, hardened end-to-end. Audit-ready in six weeks.
Three coordinated services, one outcome: a Microsoft 365 estate that survives a ransomware incident and produces evidence on demand. Documented security baseline, Defender XDR tuned, third-party backup with restore drill. Pax8-routed licensing if you want it. Exit Kit on day one, every engagement, no exceptions.
Pax8 bundle
Business Premium, Teams, backup and tenant hardening in one provisioned stack.
The Microsoft 365 Resilience Stack separates licence resale from service work: Microsoft and AvePoint licences at vendor list price through Pax8, with ITSailor delivering the hardening layer that makes the stack defensible.

Microsoft 365 Tenant Hardening (fixed scope)
You bought the licenses. Nobody bought the time to deploy them.
Microsoft 365 ships with the controls in the box. Implementing them is the fifteen-day project that keeps getting pushed to next quarter.
Default tenants, default risk
Microsoft licenses you bought never got a documented hardening pass. Conditional Access is opt-in, Defender XDR is half onboarded, and Exchange retention is whatever the admin clicked through in 2022.
Backup that is not backup
Native Microsoft 365 retention is not a backup product. The recycle bin period is short, the version history is fragile, and "we tested a restore" usually means "we restored one mailbox a year ago".
Audit evidence on demand, except when asked
GDPR Article 32, DORA Article 9, NIS2 Article 21. The frameworks ask for proof of controls. Today you have screenshots from last quarter and a spreadsheet that has not been touched in six months.
Three services. One sequence.
Each component is a productized engagement with its own scope page. The bundle wins on sequencing: hardening before Defender, baseline before backup.
Microsoft 365 Tenant Hardening
Fixed-scope · 10 business days
Documented Microsoft 365 baseline deployment across Identity, Email, Endpoint, Data, Admin and Backup planes. Conditional Access policy-as-code in your GitHub repo. Exit Kit on day one.
Microsoft 365 Defender
XDR onboarding · detection tuning · triage SOP
Defender XDR rolled out correctly across endpoint (MDE), identity (MDI), email (MDO) and cloud-apps (MDA). Detection tuning to your behavior baseline, not the vendor demo set.
Microsoft 365 Backup
Third-party backup · immutable · restore-tested
Veeam / Keepit / Acronis deployed against Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. Immutable offsite copy, quarterly restore drill, retention aligned to your regulatory floor.
Workshop · Implementation · Continuous.
Three entry points. Same Exit Kit promise.
Architecture Workshop
Two hours live. Written deliverable in 5 days.
One-off · 2-hour live + Exit Kit
- Microsoft 365 posture scan in your tenant
- Defender XDR onboarding gap analysis
- Backup architecture sketch with restore drill cadence
- Pax8 vs direct CSP cost comparison
- Written architecture document + Exit Kit handover
Decision shortlist. You decide what to ship, internally or via the services below.

- Quarterly Conditional Access + Defender posture review
- Quarterly backup restore drill with evidence pack
- Monthly licensing optimization (Pax8 wholesale)

Conditional Access policy-as-code
Every policy exported as JSON + Terraform-ready snippets in a GitHub repo your team owns from day one.
Defender XDR tuned baseline
Detection rules calibrated to your behavior, not the vendor demo set. Top 10 custom analytics rules + automated investigations.
Backup with verified restore
Immutable offsite copy across mailboxes, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams. Restore drill executed in week one, repeated quarterly.
Compliance evidence pack
GDPR Article 32 + DORA Article 9 + NIS2 Article 21 controls mapped one-to-one to deployed configuration.
Pax8 marketplace licensing
CSP Indirect Reseller (PLA 7113951): wholesale margins, transparent invoices, transferable accounts. No retail markup, no lock-in to us either.
Exit Kit handover (every engagement)
Credentials map, IaC state exports, runbooks, vendor list, cost-attribution map, 90-day self-management guide. Sovereign Mastery is the point.
FAQ.
Why bundle three services instead of one big project?
Because they sequence cleanly: hardening produces the baseline Defender needs to tune against, and Backup needs that hardened tenant to anchor retention policies to. Buying them in sequence (rather than as one monolithic project) means you can stop after any phase if your priorities shift, without sunk cost.
We already have Microsoft 365 E5. Do we need third-party backup?
Native retention is not a backup product. Microsoft's shared-responsibility model places data recovery in the tenant administrator's court. Veeam / Keepit / Acronis exist because regulated industries cannot self-attest to "we trust the recycle bin" under GDPR Article 32. We can show you the gaps in your current retention against a 30-day ransomware scenario in the workshop.
Do you replace our existing Microsoft 365 reseller?
Only if you want us to. Pax8 marketplace migration is offered during the engagement: wholesale margins on the same Microsoft list price, no retail markup. If you stay with your current CSP, the technical work proceeds unchanged. The CSP move is a separate billing decision.
What if our environment is more Google Workspace than Microsoft?
The Microsoft 365 Resilience Stack is Microsoft-specific. We have a parallel Google Workspace track in the Modern Workspace pillar. If your environment is mixed, the workshop scopes which controls apply to each side. We do not pretend identical playbooks cover both.
How does this map to DORA and NIS2 if we are regulated?
Every control in the bundle carries an explicit mapping to ITS-M365, NIST CSF 2.0, GDPR Article 32, DORA Article 9 and NIS2 Article 21(2)(i). The implementation closes with an evidence pack formatted for your next supervisory submission, not just a checklist.
What happens if we cancel the Continuous Resilience retainer?
Nothing breaks. The hardening Terraform is yours. The Conditional Access JSON exports are yours. The backup product is licensed in your name. The Exit Kit is the safety net. You can hand the entire stack to any other vendor (or run it internally) without ITSailor.
Licences that can sit under Microsoft 365 Resilience Stack.
ITSailor sells Microsoft and selected marketplace licences through Pax8 at vendor list price. Our margin is the Pax8 wholesale discount; service work is quoted or packaged separately.
